Privacy Policy

This policy explains how PIN2 AI LLC ("we", "us") handles information in the Pin2 desktop application ("Pin2" or "the app") and on the website pin2.ai. Questions: admin@pin2.ai.

1. The short version

• Pin2 runs on your computer. Your conversations, files, indexes and connected-account data are stored locally on your device.
• We do not run a server that receives your content, and the app sends us no usage analytics or telemetry.
• Data leaves your device only to do what you ask: to the AI model provider you choose, to the services you connect, and to the web tools described below.
• We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models.

2. Information stored on your device

Pin2 keeps the following in your user profile on your computer: your conversations with the assistant; search indexes and caches of content from connected accounts; settings; and the sign-in tokens for accounts you connect. On macOS, tokens and keys are kept in your login Keychain. You can delete this data at any time by disconnecting accounts in Pin2's settings or by uninstalling the app and removing its data folder.

3. Information that leaves your device

Pin2 sends data off your device only as needed to perform the tasks you request:

• The AI model provider you select — for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Moonshot, MiniMax, Fireworks, OpenRouter or GitHub Copilot, or a model running locally on your computer. Your request and the content needed to answer it (for example the email you asked about) are sent to that provider and handled under its terms and privacy policy.
• The services you connect — for example Google (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar), Microsoft (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams), Slack, Zoom, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), GitHub, Notion and Canva. Pin2 calls these services' APIs with your permission to read the data and take the actions you request.
• Web tools — when you or the assistant searches the web, the query goes to a public search engine (DuckDuckGo by default; Bing, Brave or Mojeek if chosen). When it opens a web page, the page address may be fetched through r.jina.ai, a third-party reader.
• Downloads — the app may download models (Hugging Face), software packages (PyPI) and components (GitHub), and check for app updates.

We (PIN2 AI LLC) do not receive any of this content.

4. Google user data

If you connect a Google account, Pin2 requests access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Calendar only to provide features you use: reading and searching your messages, documents and events so the assistant can answer you; drafting and sending email you approve; creating or changing calendar events you approve; and saving documents you ask it to save.

Pin2's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

• Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are visible and prominent in Pin2.
• It is transferred to others only as necessary to provide those features (to the AI model provider you select, to complete your request), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
• It is never used or transferred for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized or interest-based advertising.
• It is never sold, and never used to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
• It is never used to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.
• No human reads it, unless you give us affirmative permission for specific messages, it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required to comply with law.

5. Other connected services

The same rules apply to data from every service you connect: it is used only to do what you ask, kept on your device, sent only to the AI provider you choose when a request needs it, and never sold, used for ads or used to train models. Where a service's terms require it (for example Slack's), Pin2 does not keep a persistent copy of data obtained through that service's app and uses it only for the request at hand. You can revoke Pin2's access at any time in Pin2 or in the service's own security settings (for Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions).

6. The pin2.ai website

The website does not use cookies, analytics or trackers. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

7. Retention and deletion

Data in the app stays on your device until you delete it, disconnect the account, or uninstall Pin2. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you. To ask a question or request deletion of anything we hold, email admin@pin2.ai.

8. Security

Sign-in tokens are stored with your operating system's protections (the Keychain on macOS), connections to services use encryption in transit, and Pin2 asks for your approval before taking actions on your behalf according to the settings you choose.

9. Children

Pin2 is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal information, and to object to its processing. Because Pin2 keeps your data on your device, you can exercise most of these directly in the app; for anything else, contact us.

11. Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
